The body of the letter is written in another hand, with Harrison's bold autograph appearing at the conclusion. Addressed to Charles D. Kellogg of New York City, the letter discusses Harrison's difficulty in selecting a Superintendent of Charities for the District of Columbia and requests Kellogg's assistance in organizing the work on an interim basis.
