Sevres, Set of 12 Circa 1846. Made for the Chateau Des Tuileries service of Louis Phillippe.

This exquisite 19th-century porcelain plate set, crafted by the renowned Sèvres manufactory, features an opulent design associated with the Château des Tuileries. Marked with the Sèvres blue stamp and additional royal insignias for Louis Phillippe, the plate signifies its connection to French imperial heritage.

The centerpiece of the plate is adorned with two cherubs, delicately hand-painted in vibrant hues, symbolizing grace and innocence. They flank a finely gilded monogrammed of Louis Phillippe (1773-1850 who reigned as King of France from 1830-1848) medallion encircled by laurel wreaths and surmounted by a crown, indicative of the plate's regal provenance. Surrounding this focal point is a rich cobalt-blue border, lavishly embellished with intricate gilt ivy motifs and framed by cartouches featuring vibrant floral bouquets.
