Intricately hand-painted 82 piece Famille Rose Porcelain dinnerware service for twelve. With 24 carat gold accents. Purchased in the People's Republic of China in the 1970's. It was rarely if ever used. And was proudly displayed for decades in the original owner's home.

"Famille Rose" decorated porcelain was first exported to Europe in the 1720's. Its palate was specifically designed for the European market. This set was produced in the 1970's. White porcelain - hand decorated in the "Famille Rose Mandarin" pattern. Which features figures in domestic scene. With the inclusion of "exotic" elements such as a palm tree. Stamped mark on bottom reads "Hand-Decorated MADE IN CHINA".
