A Spanish hand-carved sandstone pedestal or column base. This vintage architectural stone column base from Spain, standing approximately 16.5 inches in height, has been hand-carved and features a flat, round-shaped top over the base with trunk-style body adornED in a curled acanthus leaf motif and curled volutes, typical Roman Corinthian fashion. The base is more of a stacked square with concave sides, each embellished with a carved flower head at their most inner center. The stone has a soft coral/peach tone and lovely aged patina throughout. This Spanish Corinthian style stone-carved pedestal would be a fabulous way to display your perfectly potted plants, sculptural works of art, or perhaps use it as a small drinks table for your home.
