A distinctive Italian rustic revival hanging rifle cabinet, crafted in fruitwood with brass fittings, dating to the mid-20th century. Designed in an elongated arched neoclassical outline, this wall-mounted cabinet combines utility with an architectural sense of proportion, reflecting the style of hunting lodge furnishings produced in Italy during the 1950s.

The upper tier features a scalloped wooden rack with three shaped cut-outs to cradle the barrels of rifles or shotguns, reinforced by a brass locking strap that swings across and secures with a padlock. The lower section holds a second scalloped rack for the rifle butts, along with a locking drawer for ammunition or accessories, fitted with its original brass escutcheon. The cabinet retains two working keys, one for the drawer and one for the locking strap, ensuring both security and practicality.

The interior is finished with a gilt-painted backboard, giving a warm, reflective glow that enhances the presentation of the firearms. Measurements indicate the cabinet will accommodate up to three rifles, with barrel rests about 2" wide, lower butt slots about 2.75" wide, and a vertical clearance of roughly 38–40" between rests, suited to mid-century sporting rifles and shotguns.
