This splendid pair of draperies or shade are embroidered with the technique called in France Cornelys , it can be compare to a crewel work on the finest cotton possible , those pieces are rare due to their delicate texture so often in poor condition , here the condition is extremely good and present a wonderful and elegant decor , from the mid 18 hundreds this kind of drapes were always opulent and ornate , you will find here a spectacular floral decor and also splendid border , the size is 110 H on 64 W at bottom and 49 at top due to pleating , the drapes have been reduce by the top but just folded so you have about an extra 28 inch if you needed to have them higher and this only by unstitching the top .
