Lovely vintage ShÅwa Era 4-panel Japanese painted silk Byobu (folding screen), depicting Magnolia flowers and leaves on dark chocolate background. Signed by artist. Watercolor and ink on silk. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners and plaques showing age patina. Paper on back. Three metal hangers and nails are included. Japan, ShÅwa Era, circa 1960s. Nearly excellent condition - no damage to the painting, minor age wear overall, few patches and small dent on back, strong hinges, clean, sturdy.
