This lamp is a stunning example of Frederick Cooper
design. The label is missing, but the place on the socket shows where it was and research attributes this lamp to Frederick Cooper in the 1950's. The baluster form lamp body is porcelain decorated with enameled chrysanthemums and poppies. The brass base is ribbed and beaded and the brass stem below the socket is beaded also. The harp and finial are brass and original. The harp is 12" and could be replaced to accommodate a modern shade. A perfect statement lamp to add a bit of chinoiserie to your room. Height given is to the base of the socket.
