Cesarano and Giovanni Battista Casanova (among others such as Carlo Nolli, Giovanni Elia Morghen, Luigi Vanvitelli) contributed original etchings for this multi-volume publication.The full title of the work is Le Antichit? di Ercolano Esposte, and it was one of the earliest illustrated archaeological catalogues, showing a vast range of antiquities-from vases and lamps to sculptures and architectural fragments.This publication was highly influential in spreading Neoclassical taste across Europe in the 18th century.
