Leonid Kuzmenko was born in 1956 in the village of Sokyrensi, Chernihiv region.
In 1979 - 1986 pp. studied at the isostudio of the October Palace of Culture.
In 1983, he studied at the private studio of Viktor Zaretskyi.
In 1980-1986 pp. studied at the Correspondence University of Arts (Moscow).
In 1986-1988. in the iso-studio of G. Ya. Khusida in the Palace of the "Bolshevyk" plant.
From 1980 to 1986, a personal exhibition of the artist's works was held in the Palace of the "Bolshevik" plant.

The works of L. I. Kuzmenko are in private collections of Ukraine, the USA, Canada, France, Germany, and Spain.

People's artist Leonid Kuzmenko is called nothing else than a nugget in his small homeland. His favorite genres are landscape and still life, sometimes he works on portraits. Art experts are convinced that Kuzmenko's work depicts life in natural colors, because the artist does not produce fantasy forms and images, but fully adheres to the canons of realistic art.
