
Description
An exceptional French tantalus cave de liqueur cellarette set with exemplary works of marquetry, ormolu, brass-work and mount-blown, hand-cut crystal from the era of Napoleon III; mid-late 1800s. An extremely handsome and functional piece including original 19th century crystal drinkware; 2 decanters with diamond-like stoppers, 15 small footed glasses. The cases' intricate parquet inlay is fully intact, the gilt on the ormolu is in excellent condition and the caddy is sturdy and secure. Edges are trimmed in lightly decorated bronze and case sits on four wooden feet.
