This unsigned, Weller attributed umbrella stand is a wonderful example of Art Nouveau style"”functional and yet, with its blended Majolica glaze and the Bedford Pattern"”refreshingly light, fun and slightly whimsical pottery!
The brown base is highlighted with a muted pink and golden floral motif, melded all together with its coordinating green foliage"”perfect!
Samuel Weller started his pottery company in 1872, in Ohio, and was known for his diverse range of designs "” floral, figurative, and landscape motifs.
This piece is in excellent condition and has a glossy finish; with a weight of 19.4 lbs.

Condition Notes: This is a beautiful piece, that has no scratches, dings or repairs"”the pottery has no body/surface flaws or paint issues. On the rim, are two (uber tiny) rough spots"”but I only found them by "feeling" them"”the one is a naturally occurring, paint-glaze issue, the other is a small chip.
