Magnificent Mid-Century Danish Modern round globe or orb pendant created by alternating strips of copper and black metal accented with acrylic AB "gemstones." New copper chain and canopy. Definitely a show-stopper!

Werner Schou (1913-1995) was a Danish mid-century modern designer, best known for his lighting fixtures produced by his company, Coronell Elektro in Hellerup, Denmark. His work was popular in the 1960s and 1970s and is recognized for its sculptural quality and warm light. Schou frequently designed with metal, particularly copper and brass, but also used black and white lacquered metal. Many of his designs feature multiple layers of metal shades or include glass or acrylic elements to create a cozy and gentle light.Schou's creations are highly sought after by collectors and mid-century design enthusiasts for their timeless quality and aesthetic.Â
