Up for auction is a Colt AR-15 A2 HBAR Sporter semi-automatic rifle chambered for .223 Remington. The HBAR heavy barrel measures 20 inches and features sharp, reflective rifling. The barrel is also free floated. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches. It comes equipped with a fixed front sight and an adjustable rear sight integrated into the carry handle, which is integrated into the upper receiver. The action is buttery smooth and everything locks up well. The furniture is in great shape, showing very few signs of use and wear. This is a very cool throwback to previous versions of the now ubiquitous AR-15, and is worthy of any collection of Colt rifles. The Colt AR-15 is a product line of magazine-fed, gas-operated, semi auto rifle manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company ("Colt") in many configurations. The rifle is a derivative of its predecessor, the lightweight ArmaLite AR-15, an automatic rifle designed by Eugene Stoner and other engineers at ArmaLite in 1956. Colt currently owns the AR-15 trademark and uses it for its line of semi-automatic AR-15 rifles.
