(1892 - 1984) 'Bomber Harris', British Air Marshall and head of the RAF Bomber Command in which capacity he oversaw the first 1,000-bomber raid. Possible war-date signature on the cover (only) of an issue of’ Time’ magazine, June 3, 1943. Harris signs diagonally beneath image, with contrast a bit lacking. Light wear to edges, overall very good. With his obituary as printed in ‘The New York Times’.
