A first model Luftwaffe dagger, 12 in. blade, 17.75 in. overall, with aluminum pommel and hilt decorated with brass sunwheel-style swastikas at the center of both. Traces of gold-colored finish remain on one swastika at the crossguard, but this finish is otherwise worn away. The hilt features downswept triple wing quillons, and the grip is covered with dark blue leather over wood, wrapped with bright, braided silver wire, all remaining tight and in good condition. The nickel-finish blade bears the maker’s mark of Stocker & Co. of Solingen, with expected draw marks but otherwise in fine condition. The brown leather buffer also remains in fine condition. The scabbard mounts are also aluminum, with an aluminum hanger and clip marked ‘Ges. Gesch.’ and ‘OLC’. The scabbard is covered with navy blue leather. All fittings are clean and bright, detail remains sharp throughout. Leather on the grip and scabbard shows a few very small chips in places,, with some dings to the scabbard fittings. In very good to fine condition overall.
