COSSACK SIBERIAN USHANKA CAP

Description

Wool Cossack Siberial ushanka, a winter insulated cap with fold-down ear coverings covered with thick black wool. The cap itself is constructed of feldgrau wool with a black top bearing silver wire tresses forming a cross. The front of the cap is fitted with aluminum insignia including a national eagle cap badge, oak leaves, and cockade which is missing a pin and may have been added later. The interior is quilted gray cloth and bears the black ink maker's stamp: 'F. K. KOLWITZ...PRAG'. Unissued, near fine. With COA issued and signed by Norm Manion, 2002.
