'MAX UPPELT BAHNHOF' TABLEWARE

Description

Two pieces of tableware, a 8.5 in. soup spoon and a n 8.50 in. knife, both bearing roll-stamped static swastikas on one side of the handle, with 'Max Uppelt Bahnhof' stamped on the reverse side. Both bear 'Wellner' and silverplate hallmarks. These pieces are illustrated and described in James A. Yannes' 'The Encyclopedia of Third Reich Tableware', p. 213, item OG-92. Yannes was unable to locate this train station but cited a source stating it was a wartime station in Berlin.
