Baird’ 1p. oblong folio, ‘In the Field’, Tennessee, November, 1864, a report of 'Persons and Articles employed and hired', namely four ‘contrabands’, or freed slaves, employed as teamsters. Baird signs at lower-left in black ink, adding his rank ‘Brig Genl’. Folds, otherwise in fine condition.
