
Description
Early Philippines Ifugao shield from the Luzon province carved in a light wood with rattan wrapped reinforcements. The face carved with three legs to one side and two to the other with the central panel of two half moon shapes in opposition. Reverse the handle recessed to accommodate the hand and well worn to the one side from use in battle. The shield is deeply convex to accommodate the handle as is typical with this form of shield. Size 32" L x 12" W x 5" H
