Description:In the foreground at left is a small rest house with an old man (possibly Hiroshige himself) making a sketch of the scenery in front of him. The red color pigment used for the maples contains lead which oxidized / blackened, - an intentional effect applied to enhance an atmosphere of late summer / beginning of autumn. - This is print no. # 91 in the series.
