Vintage Black & Clear AB Beaded Necklace, 14.5", Double Strand, 1950's-1960's. This has an ornate rhinestone and crystal box clasp with a framed black glass round stone, appx. 2mm for each stone and prong-set that frames a clear rectangular crystal stone with aurora borealis shimmer. The stone is appx. 18mm by 12.5mm. The clasp slides into the box with three of the black stones seton the tongue that goes into the clasp. To open the clasp you press down on those three stones and pull the tongue out - at first it is hard to figure out how to open it - but that is the trick. The necklaceis made from clear elongated tapered crystal beads that have the aurora borealis treatment as well They are in a mix of sizes from 20mm to 25mm long with black diamond shaped glass beads that are in two sizez - appx 8mm and 13mm. They areknotted betwewn the beads and strung on black cord. This protects the ends of the beads from chipping. Gold tone clasp and prongs. It is not marked or signed. Very good vintage condition.
