Description

Square bottle with gold ruby underlay Saxony, Johann Friedrich Böttger, Dresden (attributed), c. 1720 Colourless glass with gold ruby underlay, glowing strongly green under UV light. Stand and sides sanded flat, bottom with double balling. The edges on shoulder decorated with lentil cut ornaments. Frame on short neck and slip-on lid made of brass. Edges sometimes minimally chipped. H. 13.5 cm
