Description

20 1/2" Vintage OOAK doll as featured in the article "One-of-a-Kind Cloth Dolls". Written by Donna C. Kaonis and published in a past Antique Doll magazine issue. As the article states, this doll was found in Indiana. "Spots of pink oil paint on the cheeks and chin distinguish the unusual cloth doll (illustration 4) found in Indiana. Over the muslin head and upper torso (which extends almost to the waist), a separate linen face in the shape of a long skinny triangle was sewn on, the ends overlapping on the back and stitched. She has black leather lower arms". Sewn down fingers. Dressed in wool plaid dress with braid and metal button detail. Cotton underwear, socks. Condition: loss on socks otherwise, nothing observed. This is a wonderful doll.
