Description
Printer's note reads: This special edition of The Devil & Daniel Webster was composed in 14 pt Monotype Bell from the text in the Selected Works of Stephen Vincent Benet, published in 1939 by Farrar & Rinehart. It was planned by Richard Ellis and produced under his direction by the Kingsport Press in an edition of fourteen hundred and seventy-five copies, printed from type upon all-rag paper.
The Kingsport Press is indebted to Mrs. Benet and to the Publishers, for permission to reprint this memorable story for private distribution.
The book is in excellent condition with the both front and back covers and spine having their original coloring with no sunning. Front and back covers are cloth with decorated paper-covered boards, spine is green with gilt printing. No DJ as issued.
