Description: This is a limited edition deluxe illustrated volume of Shakespeare's Works, specifically Volume V of the Elgin Edition from 1901. It includes Henry VI Part 3 and Troilus and Cressida and is numbered as #306 out of 1000 copies produced.
Tissue protected frontis, gilt upper edges, rough cut fore and lower edges.
The book is leather-bound and published by John D. Morris & Company in Philadelphia, Pa. It is a beautifully bound tome with partial leather boards and marbleized decoration to boards. Gilt title to spine, still very bright.
Book is in excellent condition, unread. Very slight wear to leather on spine caps, edges, tips. Clean crisp text block. No writing, no missing loose or torn pages. This rare luxury edition is in English, making it a valuable collectible for Shakespeare enthusiasts in North America.
