Contents: Beowulf; The Song of Roland; The Destruction of Da Derga's Hostel; The Story of the Volsungs and Niblungs. Illustrated.
Green cloth boards with embossed design and gilt and red design on front cover - gilt is still very bright and red coloring crisp and bright. Title and design on spine in gilt and red, spine sunned and decoration and titles faded. Gilt upper page edges, uncut fore edge and lower page edges. Decorated end papers.
Some minor puckering to spine ends, minor shelf wear.
Book is very clean except for one very tiny stain on front cover, stain to lower part of back cover;clean text block, no writing inside or out, no former owner bookplate or inscription. No missing or loose pages. Pg. 3 has piece missing on outer edge of page. Binding tight and square corners square with minor shelf wear at tips. In great condition especially considering the age of this book! Near Fine to Fine Condition.
