Description: “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “The Life of Shakespeare” is a deluxe numbered limited edition of William Shakespeare's works Vol. I. Published in 1901 by John D. Morris & Company in Philadelphia, Pa. This partially leather bound luxury edition is numbered 306 out of 1000. The book is illustrated with a tissue covered frontis and part of the rare Elgin Edition making it a valuable collectible for fans of Shakespearean literature.
The Elgin Edition was sold only to subscribers.
Book appears unread with a very tight binding, no writing, no missing loose or torn pages.
Minor loss of gilt decoration to spine, gilt still bright.
Minor chip of leather to upper & lower spine.
Gilt upper page edges, uncut fore and lower page edges. Beautiful marble decorated boards.
The volume is printed in English and is an original edition from the United States.
