Description: Up for sale is this vintage book The Thousand and One Nights; Or, The Arabian Nights' Entertainments published in New York by the International Book Company, 886 pages. There is no publication date inside the book but engraved on the bottom of the back cover in very small letters it says Copyright 1895 by United States Book Company. Book measures 5 W x 7 1/2 L x 15/16 H.
Maroon cloth covers with embossed design on both sides wrapping around the spine which has gilt title and the bottom of the spine is frayed but the legible letters appear to read IDINE EDITION with the first one or two letters of the first word missing. Minor edge wear to corners which are turned in, small tear on spine under title to the right, scuffing and staining to front cover, scuffing on back cover . Front hinge cracked, back hinge detached, endpapers browned from age, title page detached and piece missing on right side of margin, small piece on first page missing along margin; last page of text detached, back endpaper detached. Book is else clean and not musty with no writing or pastedowns inside or out. No author is noted.
