Description: Up for sale is this 1st edition of Lorna Doone A Romance of Exmoor by R.D. Blackmore. Printed in 1943 by The Heritage Press for the George Macy Companies, Inc. 549 pages.
The book is in great condition - see photos to view condition. There is no writing or anything else inside the book. It is very clean, the binding tight and square, top pages red stained. There is a small stain on the front cover slightly above the center of the cover; a smudge along the right bottom edge of the pages, some glue discoloration on front and back end papers and general discoloration of the front end papers. Inside pages are bright and not discolored from age.
Slip cover is in poor condition, torn along edges and creased below the top with some tears on both sides, sunned along top and sides on both sides of slipcover.
