each modelled standing and barefoot upon a shaped rectangular base painted with a rocky landscape, the lady holding a red ewer at her shoulder and wearing a flowing white robe richly ornamented with polychrome paisley and floral motifs, with turquoise-lined headscarf and gilt tasselled sash; the Moorish gentleman clad in a similarly decorated tunic and hooded cloak, with turquoise mantle and gilt tassel ornament, a dagger at his waist and purse at his side, both raised on moulded bases painted with geometric and stylised foliate borders, each incised 'CHANTILLY'
