An antique 1835 Capped Bust Half Dollar, a classic early American silver coin designed by John Reich. The obverse depicts the profile of Liberty in a Phrygian cap with the inscription LIBERTY surrounded by 13 stars and the year of issue 1835 at the bottom. On the reverse: a bald eagle with outstretched wings, with a shield on its chest. In his claws he holds three arrows and an olive branch. Inscribed UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 50c.
