This Austro-Hungarian choker necklace was crafted in the 1900s.
Fabulous carving on carnelian and rock crystal and perfect proportions!
Three cameo medallions are framed in openwork silver decorated with enamel and encrusted with turquoise and rubies. The medallions are connected with five strands of faceted garnet beads. Beautiful clasp has a mother-of-pearl oval in the center; the back of the clasp is tastefully engraved.
The medallions measure 1-1/8” by 1-1/8”. The clasp is 1-1/8” by 5/8”.
The necklace is almost 13 ¼” long.
The piece weighs 66.3 grams.
