Written to “Mrs. Woods,” Miller apologizes for not having answered sooner, explaining he was away and is behind in his work, and notes that he is unable to take on anything additional at present. Signed at the conclusion, “Arthur Miller.”

Arthur Miller (1915–2005) was one of the most influential American playwrights of the 20th century. His works, including Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, and All My Sons, explored themes of morality, personal responsibility, and the American Dream.
