William H. Mullikin autographed commemorative cover celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the World Transportation of Airmail, dated October 28, 1977. Issued by Pan Am to honor global aviation progress, the cover features artwork commemorating Pan Am Flight 50’s historic pole-to-pole round-the-world route aboard the Boeing 747SP. Postmarked and affixed with a 31¢ U.S. Airmail stamp.

Fine condition.

Captain William H. Mullikin commanded Pan Am Flight 50, a 1977 record-setting circumnavigation of the globe via both poles aboard a Boeing 747SP. The flight symbolized a pinnacle of Cold War-era aviation achievement and global cooperation. An iconic piece for Pan Am and airmail collectors alike.
