Dana Plato (1964–1999) was an American actress best known for her role as Kimberly Drummond on the hit NBC sitcom Diff’rent Strokes (1978–1986). Beginning her career as a child performer, she became a familiar television presence during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Following her departure from the series, Plato appeared in a variety of independent films and television projects. Though her life was marked by personal struggles, she remains closely associated with one of television’s most memorable family sitcoms of the era.
