Thomas A. Edison autographed stock certificate issued by the Edison Portland Cement Company, dated August 19, 1899, documenting Edison as the registered owner of common capital stock. The primary certificate is fully executed on the recto with an engraved portrait of Edison and ornate American Bank Note Company security engraving. Edison’s autograph appears on the verso endorsing transfer and is very faint.
Accompanying the primary certificate is the original secondary stock certificate stub, bearing a clear, bold autograph by Edison, providing an exceptional companion signature. The group retains original issuance details, cancellation punch marks, revenue stamps, and period transfer annotations.
