Herbert Hoover autographed 5.5 x 3.5” card signed in blue ink on stationery from The Towers, The Waldorf-Astoria. The signed card is mounted by staple to a larger display sheet and accompanied by a separate printed acknowledgement card headed “Herbert Hoover,” dated May, 1958, which reads: “I have not been able to acknowledge your message, but I am grateful for your good wishes.”
Fine condition with staple mounting to a larger sheet with light toning.
Herbert Hoover (1874–1964) served as the 31st President of the United States from 1929 to 1933. Prior to his presidency, Hoover gained international recognition for his humanitarian efforts during and after World War I, organizing large-scale relief programs that provided food and aid to millions across Europe. After leaving office, Hoover remained active in public service and philanthropy, advising several administrations and continuing his humanitarian work. His long post-presidential career helped reshape his legacy as a major figure in American public service during the 20th century.
