Eisenhower” letterhead, dated “En Route Chicago, July 3, 1952.” Addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Phipps of Denver, Colorado, the letter expresses Eisenhower’s regret at not having had the opportunity to personally thank them for their hospitality and thoughtful reception, and conveys warm greetings and appreciation to members of the Phipps family. Signed at the conclusion in blue ink, “Dwight D. Eisenhower.”
