Three Cent Silver coin, also known as a "trime," struck in 75% silver and 25% copper and representing the smallest silver denomination ever minted by the United States. The obverse features a six-pointed star with a federal shield at center, encircled by the legend United States of America and the date 1852. The reverse displays the large Roman numeral III within an ornamental C-shaped border surrounded by thirteen stars. Net silver weight 0.0257 troy oz.
