A WW2 Era Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik manufactured G43 8mm Mauser Semi-Automatic Rifle in good to very good overall condition. The bore is in very good condition with well defined rifling, bright lands, and minimal debris present. The action and safety appear to function properly. The receiver of this rifle is marked "G. 43 duv 44. 8280 a"; which are the rifle's model, factory code, and serial number. In between this text are two smaller marks, a parteiadler and a waffenamt with the code "214". The bolt carrier shows the matching serial number once more and the bolt housing shows another waffenamt, not as clearly marked, with what appears to read "WaAA44" or "WaA444".The stock shows a cartouche on the bottom that reads "8280", matching to the rifle and the initals "DW" or "OW" carved on the left side. The magazine is likely not matching as the marks on it read "aye", a waffenamt that reads "WaAB43" and "K43", which was the later updated designation of the G43 rifle. The recoil lug in the stock has a waffenamt that reads "WaA251" along with "jwh". The finish on this rifle is very good, showing minimal areas of patina, wear, and the occasional scratch/ ding. The stock is believed to be sanded, but not heavily as the cartouches are still mostly present. The stock has also had a duffle cut and repair, indicating this rifle was likely a service member's war trophy or bring back. The cleaning rod, front sight hood, and dust cover are missing, but the latter is common as many soldier's found the dust covers to cause jamming during use and were regularly discarded.
