Description: This is a very nice Ptolemaic map of northern Africa. The map shows Egypt and Lybia and is centered on the Nubia Desert and displaying the Nile, Cai(y)ro, etc. Stipple engraved sea. Other details shown include topography, rivers, mostly non-existing lakes, cities, etc. Italian text on verso. From Ruscelli's third edition of his translation of La Geografia... published by Ziletti.
