It is filled with information including Emory's route in 1856, Cooke's Emigrant Route, the naming of mountains and plains, shows location of gold placers, silver mines, water holes, springs and forts. Parke had permission from the Mexican government to travel through the area, as the expedition was launched during the transition period.
