Description: This is a very attractive, large, well illustrated birds' eye view style map of Southern California. It extends from Mexico to past Malibu and from Catalina to the Mojave Desert and to Arizona and also shows Las Vegas. Cities and contemporary sites are noted, including a white skyscraper marking Los Angeles. Boats, ships, surfers, golfers and coach are shown as well as the Missions. Fourteen vignettes of important people, sights and events adore the circumference, such as Padre J Serra, the La Brea (Tar) Pits and Cabrillo lands in San Diego Bay in 1542. Road map and information on the tourist sites are shown on the verso. Made for the Southern California Tourist Association.
