Book one - Gott mit uns! Les boucles de ceinture allemandes 1870–1945 by Francis Catella — is one of the more respected continental-European references on German military belt buckles, covering a span from the Franco-Prussian War through the end of the Third Reich. It’s written in French, but the photography and layout make it very usable even if you don’t read the language. Book two - British Military Longarms 1815–1865 by D.W. Bailey — is a respected specialist reference covering the evolution of British service muskets and rifles during one of the most transformative periods in firearms history. A technical identification and historical reference focused on British military longarms from the end of the Napoleonic Wars (1815) through the early breech-loading era (1865). This period includes the shift from flintlock to percussion ignition and the development of rifled arms that would shape mid-19th-century warfare. Both in good condition.
