Utterly charming, this painting may be unsigned yet it's obviously the work of a highly skilled artist. A dramatic arrangement of roses and other blossoms cascade out of a cobalt vase against a luminously dark background. Executed with gusto as the impasto paint strokes indicate. Gold gilt frame features a carved outer edge.

The canvas itself measures 24" high x 36" wide x 1" deep.
With frame the total ensemble measures 27.5" high x 39.5" wide x 2" deep.

In very good vintage condition. Overall the canvas and paint are intact. However there is one rather crude "repair" on the back which uses tape to secure a small rip to the canvas. The result of which is barely visible on the front side. Frame is structurally sound with a variety of "dings" and subtle wear commensurate with antique age/use. See photos for details.
