This fabulous kitchy post modern work of art was a commissioned piece by a very talented artist who was part of the Art Students League where of New York her work is on display and part of its permanent collection.

In this work you see the the Coca Cola girl theme introduced in the 40's and 50's being used to recreate a whimsical and sensual figure with some historic context. The painting offers vibrant and exaggerated forms and colors and features an exaggerated landscape and style in the girl's glamorous attire that seems out of place in her surroundings. When I look at this painting I think of a brilliant Miami Beach party: steamy and fun.
