After Max’s move to the United States, he settled in Brooklyn and studied at the Art Student League in Manhattan under the guidance of renowned figure drawing instructor, George Bridgeman. Following a series of special commissions and successful exhibitions in the 60’s, his popularity grew even further. By 1969 he was on Johnny Carson show and cover of Life magazine.
