Born in the village of Pervomaiske in the Odessa region.
Education: Odessa Art Vocational School; Odessa State Art Institute, 1935. In 1943, he met the renowned Russian artist L. Turzhansky and studied under the school of the eminent master.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NSHU) since 1945. Participated in the establishment of the Zaporizhzhia Artists Society and the regional organization of the NSHU.
A prominent theme in his work was lyrical landscape, characterized by an active and refined coloristic nature: "Dnieper Distances" (1957); "Spring Flood," "Dnieper near Zaporizhzhia" (1961, Zaporizhzhia Regional Art Museum); "City over the Dnieper" (1964), "Ripened Wheat" (1967); "In Poltava Region"; "Windy" (1970s, Zaporizhzhia Regional Art Museum).
Exerted a significant influence on the formation of the Zaporizhzhian landscape artists' circle, including Y. Chuykov, V. Haiduk, A. Fomin, M. Akinshin, M. Pashkanis, and others.
Participated in regional, republican, and all-Union exhibitions. His works are preserved in museums in Ukraine and private collections.
