Vintage 10kt Tiered Gemstone Heart Ring, Sz. 9. Signed AAJ. 1960's-1970's. This is possibly a mother's ring but that is not what first popped into my mind when I saw it. Great sweetheart ring too. 10kt yellow and white gold. It has been acid testes and test on an Auracle analyzer. Appx. weight of 2.51 grams. This has five tiered hearts with the top being a green spinel and on one side there is what is believed to be a clear rock crystal and aquamarine on the bottom. The oher side is blue spinel and garnet. Each heart has a white gold frame with yellow gold prongs. The heart stones are appx. 4mm by 3.5mm (slightly larger but exact measurement not possible due to the settnig. This has a height of papx. 7mm up front the top of the finger at the center stone and is appx. 6.5mm down the finger and covers appx. 20mm over the top of the finger. Under the stones the band is on both sides of the ring with open area between the bands which you can see at the bottom stones where the band is appx. 2.6mm wide and fuses into a single band that tapers to appx. 1.6mm at the back of the finger. Very different ring than many. It has some typical light wear and is in good to very good condition. It would benefit if it were cleaned, especially the undercarriage which would certainly brighten the stones. I do not usually clean rings as more buyers prefer items not cleaned as they are not sure when sellers clean them with and can cause damage - this is true, for me, in both gold and silver pieces. I did lightly clean the top with water and diluted Dawn detergent but this ring bling when it is cleaned fully. (W22117.
